FAQ
Q. how long does ceramic pro last?
A. This will depend on the type of coating and the environment in which the car is driven and stored. There will also be a dependency on how well the coating is maintained. For instance, Ceramic Pro forms a highly durable bond with the paintwork which can last a number of years on a well maintained car.
Ceramic Pro is resistant to chemicals so it will not be washed away by strong car wash shampoos and cleaning chemicals. However aggressive car washing with brushes or automatic car washes will reduce the lifespan of the product. We recommend only washing your car with microfibre cloths.
As with any paintwork treatment good regular maintenance is required for the best results and longevity of the product.
Ceramic Coatings can be removed by abrasion such as machine polishing, cutting compounds or cut and polish. Neglect such as failure to wash the vehicle regularly (weekly or fortnightly) can also reduce the performance and durability of the product.
Q. what is the application process and how long does it take?
A. The process of Ceramic Pro will take between 1-5 days depending on the condition of your paint, the size of the vehicle and the packages you select. The 1st step is to wash and prep the vehicle. The 2nd step is to correct all the imperfections in the paint such as swirls and scratches. Once the vehicle is properly prepped, a body shop safe prep solvent will be applied to the entire vehicle to get to bare paint. At this stage the coating process will begin, and each panel of the vehicle will have Ceramic Pro applied, leveled, and stacked to achieve the package you have selected.
Q. does ceramic pro crack, peel or yellow?
A. No, Ceramic Pro will not Crack, Peel or Yellow. Our products have undergone SGS testing and real-life testing in some of the worlds harshest environments, and surpassed every one of them.
Q. does ceramic pro require servicing?
A. Yes. To maintain your warranty, you need to attend an annual service. This is to ensure the Ceramic Pro performs properly for the entire length of the warranty. If an annual inspection is missed, the warranty defaults to the lesser package at the time of the missed annual inspection. i.e. A Gold (Lifetime) warranty becomes a Silver (5 year) warranty when an annual service is missed.
Q. my vehicle has been ceramic coated, what do i need to know?
A. Curing time is 2-3 weeks depending on environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature. Take special care during time period. The coating can help prevent your clear coat from water spots as it is hydrophobic. Ceramic Pro however is not bullet proof and can still get hard water spots. The coating is less likely to etch than your factory clear, but it can especially get water spots during the curing process and can be costly to remove.
During the curing process avoid:
Parking under a trees specially if there are shedding. You don’t want tree sap on a fresh coating.
Allowing bird droppings, sap or pollen to sit on the car and bake in the sun.
Washing or abrading the paint
Q. is ceramic pro an alternative to wax?
A. Yes, once Ceramic Pro is applied you will never need to wax again. Cleaning your vehicle’s paint is as easy as maintain as your glass/windshield. No need for abrasive washes or any waxes/sealants.
